I recently spent five glorious days in Devon, two of which were spent in heaven with photography and digital artistry guru, Vicki Lea Boulter and her team.  

In the land of fudge, pasties and scones served with clotted cream and jam; I made photographs during and after the workshop. 

My aim each week from now on will be to share a photograph and a few words as I work through all the images. 

First this week we have Lana, the Calypso Coffee boss with a reverence for coffee. I knew that if I kept walking past the usual high street shops I'd eventually find a gem like this independently run coffee shop.

I watched mesmerised as Lana poured hot water in a circular motion through a filter placed on the neck of a conical glass flask to produce the best Chai Latte/expresso I have ever tasted. I simply had to ask to make her portrait in return and was delighted when she agreed. 

I love meeting new people; even more when they say yes to having their portrait taken by me :)
