2019
Year in Review
As I pause and think about what has been a very creative year for me in 2019; I’m excited for 2020 as plans for new projects and collaborations are already on the cards.
I’ll try and make this brief; here are my 2019 creative highlights.
January
One year ago Pearl Dickson contacted me to come on board as photographer for her Charity Vintage Calendar Project. The shoots were epic and took until June to complete, fortunately fellow photographer Janet Redmond also agreed to come on board.
Rugby Season
Throughout the year you’ll find me on the sideline of my daughter’s rugby team capturing epic moments like this.
May
I was very lucky to attend Brooke Shaden’s Promoting Passion Event in London where I met some very wonderful people along with Brooke and we now have a Fine Art Ireland and UK group on Facebook and Instagram.
June
Accepting my AFIAP award from Paul and Dom. The FIAP Distinction holders group exhibition ran in The Eddie Chandler Gallery in Dublin for the month of June. Photographic Distinctions are all about the journey for me.
August
My Limited edition prints now available from ArtisAnn Gallery, Belfast. The printing and Epson Digigraphie® limited editions handled by Gavin Byrne of Frametastic.
September
I joined Boyne Valley Photography Club.
Their weirdness is a good fit for my weirdness.
September
Another collaboration with The Two Five Ones, this time for two singles; ‘Slave to the Moon’ and ‘The Letter’.
October
Peaceful Photography Exhibition opened by Sean Hillen - part of a cross border initiative supported with Peace IV funding.
October
Another day, another shoot. This time in the trenches of Cavan Museum with WW2 Re-enactors and fellow photographers Jan and Ger. This is Dave who brought great emotion to this portrait.
November
Started a new private group on my Facebook page with weekly challenges in response to enquires from photographers I’ve met through my talks in camera clubs.
December
Charity calendar sales so far will provide two playgrounds for orphanages in Belarus.
