Monday - Clonmel Camera Club
My photographic week started on Monday evening giving a Zoom presentation to the members of Clonmel Camera Club. I really enjoy the opportunity to connect and share my journey with fellow photographers and I was chuffed to bits when Phil from the club shared a piece on Instagram he was inspired to create this week.
Wednesday - Poetry videos from Time continue
Every Wednesday is poetry Wednesday and although poet Fidel Hogan Walsh and myself have finished recording and editing all our poetry videos, we have decided to share the fifteen videos again over this current lockdown due to the wonderful response the videos received the first time round. You can find the videos on my Facebook page, Twitter page or Youtube Channel.
We are incredibly grateful and lucky to have sold out in Alan Hanna’s Bookshop again so if you want to get your hands on a signed copy at the moment your best bet is the eprint.ie website. We have only half the original print run left, which is amazing considering we only launched the book four months ago.
Thursday - Live Edit Over Zoom
In my own club, Boyne Valley, it was my turn to give a presentation and I decided to spice things up a little bit by completing a live edit over Zoom and I have to say it was very enjoyable. The feedback has been great and I really love inspiring to people to develop their own style based on their own interests and what appeals to them - it’s more sustainable. When you create from the heart there is something very pure about it too.
Saturday - Igniting Creativity
This week’s challenge was to create a piece on the theme, ‘Lament’ using something old. I’m afraid I can’t share the piece I came up with just yet, as it may become part of a new, specific body of work. But if you are looking for inspiration I’m going to start sharing the weekly challenges on my Instagram Stories again on Sunday evenings after 10pm.
