Workshop Eureka Moment and Awash With Colour Art Exhibition Launch

Another typically busy week for me as I hosted a workshop last Saturday at Íontas Arts Centre, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan and a collaborative project between MOPOSOGS and AAEX, Awash With Colour, opened with live performances on Wednesday.

Exploring Objects Workshop with Hahnemühle Fine Art Paper

As adults, we often don’t make time to play and yet we are still expected to be creative with our thinking. That was the eureka moment we all had in the workshop room at Íontas. Adults need to make time to play too!

Following a tour of my exhibition, Looking for Light (which finishes on Tue, 9th Aug) we all headed upstairs to explore props and objects I had set up earlier in the room. There’s a special kind of magic that happens when you put a bunch of people into a room and create a safe, creative play space.

I’ll be writing more about the workshop for the Hahnemühle blog, including how beautiful the images looked printed on Hahnemühle German Etching 310g fine art paper, but I thought you’d like to see some behind the scenes photos!
