September really is my favourite month, not just because it harbours my birthday but also because blackberries and crisp golden foliage signal back to school, a time to focus on learning and the realisation you’re never too anything to learn something new.
Since attending the very brilliant Andrew Folan RHA workshop last February I’ve been eager to learn more about printmaking. My artwork is produced from a plate or matrix (digital file). What if I could change the materiality of that plate, the resulting artwork or both?
That is what I intend to explore this Autumn at the Creative Spark Print Studios under the excellent tutelage of Gráinne Murphy.

Hidden Abilities, the culmination of our AAEX Art & Sign workshops was a fantastic exhibition and very well received. I want to do more projects like this using my skills and knowledge to facilitate people from all walks of life. I find I learn just as much as the participants.
