Tuesday
Final proof for our book, ‘Time’ arrived in the post today. It’s loose leafed and beautiful; I figure if it looks this good at this stage - I won’t be able to put it down once the pages are bound. Proof approved - ‘Time’ is off to print; due for delivery early September.
Wednesday
I’m judging for Dungannon/Cookstown Camera Club this evening over Zoom for their Annual Exhibition and awarding of the Brian Hughes Memorial Cup. I always like to pre-record important segments of meetings and I’ve found club members do appreciate being able to watch back over the feedback. So my afternoon will be spent putting together videos and a slideshow announcing the winners.
Thursday
Last night’s Zoom meeting went very well. Congratulations to all the winners!
Office day today with Fidel, we’ve been doing this every week - sending out emails and whatever else needs doing to promote the book. Today we can share the link to Alan Hanna’s bookshop in Rathmines for pre-orders.
Next week we’ll look at scheduling some beautiful pre-recorded videos of some of the poems and images from ‘Time’ to release on social media in the run up to the official launch on Culture Night, 18th September.
Friday
Raining, again, yuck. Up early and away to Enniskillen to see Ciara at Hambly and Hambly. The first edition of ‘Separation’ sold from the Imagine Together: Arts Unlocked exhibition so I brought up another edition to take it’s place.
I absolutely adore the Hambly & Hambly at Dunbar House gallery. There is such a fantastic diversity to the artworks on display and I always find something catches my eye. Ciara and Nick are impeccable hosts and I really do recommend booking a visit. The exhibition runs until 31st October.
Saturday
I put together a quick video for social media showing which of my limited edition prints are available in ArtisAnn Gallery, Belfast. Next week I’ll do the same for Hambly and Hambly.
Sunday
Finish off new image; ‘Childhood’.
