The title of this blog post will mean something to the three other photographers I was chatting with last night on Zoom. It also serendipitously relates to my iPhone photo on this blog post featuring a quick shot of ‘Grace’ at the printers this week prior to framing. You’ll see why I was at my framers later….. but first, the Hambly & Hambly Enlighten exhibition.
Enlighten Exhibition, Hambly & Hambly
19th June – 30th September 2021
The Enlighten Award Winners Exhibition at Hambly & Hambly opens this Saturday, 19th June with International Award winning sculptor, Wolfgang Buttress and Suzanne Garuda of Garuda Design International. It features award winning and commended pieces from the Enlighten Awards over the past eight months along with some specially curated pieces.
Ciara Hambly, once again has done some marvellous work putting this all together with her dedicated team and support from the Arts council of Northern Ireland and Fermanagh & Omagh District Council. The exhibition will run until the 30th September 2021.
I will have my smaller, 10”x10” limited edition framed prints featured, please contact Ciara Hambly for more details – Ciara[at]hamblyandhambly.com.
Affordable Art Fair Battersea,
Summer Edition, 8th – 11th July.
The countdown continues to my first art fair in London represented by Sol Art Gallery. This week I’ve been signing eight different large, limited edition prints ready to be framed for the Affordable Art Fair Battersea Summer Edition.
Sol Art Gallery will be on stand C6 and tickets are still available, you can contact Sol Art Gallery directly for more details.
Ongoing projects
Pluid National Comfort Blanket
With over 1000 pieces submitted by artists for the Pluid National Comfort Blanket project, Pluid HQ have had to go searching for a larger venue. So watch this space!
You’ll see in a previous blog post I have a piece in the project with poet, Fidel Hogan Walsh which will be going up for auction after the exhibition.
AAEX and MOPOSOGS
I’m currently involved with a project called Awash with Colour. Writers from MOPOSOGs are responding to pieces by visual artists in AAEX and vice versa. It’s a work in progress but the uptake has been amazing, the spark for the project being my collaboration with poet Fidel Hogan Walsh last year.
I enjoy the challenge of getting out of my comfort zone and there’s no better way to do that then have someone else decide the brief!
Our first virtual meet-up to share the fruits of the project is this week and it is a continuation of my commitment to reach out and share the knowledge I gained during lockdown with fellow creatives.
Until the next time, take care x
